The College of William and Mary

International Relations Club

Our Mission

To promote the study and pursuit of international relations within the University, the wider Williamsburg area, and the global community.

Our Organization

Founded in November of 1931, the International Relations Club at the College of William and Mary has engaged with the global community to provide a myriad of educational opportunities to students of all ages in the field of international relations and global politics. Through our conferences WMHSMUN, WMIDMUN, and &MUN, as well as through our service and travel components, the IRC has and will continue to strive for a further understanding of the world and the global community of which we are all a part.

How to Get Involved

Looking to get involved with IRC@WM? We’re so excited to meet you! Club meetings are held each Thursday at 6:00 PM, and we use GroupMe as our main channel of communication. Feel free to click on the “Get Involved” button in the upper right-hand corner of the website for more important links (including the link to join the GroupMe). If you have any specific questions, please feel free to explore the “Leadership” page of the website to reach out to any individual board members.

This fall, weekly meetings will alternate between more formal meetings and fun activities: during “meeting weeks”, attendees will hear updates from all IRC board members and join in open forums, speed talking, and other games, while activities such as Big/Little bonding, club dinners, and game nights will occupy non-meeting weeks! All events will be IRC-financed, and we are so excited to welcome you to the club! You can start attending meetings at any time throughout the year; to become a voting member of the club (and receive fun swag), dues are $15 for the semester or $30 for the full year. Dues can be paid in cash to our Director of Finance at any time, and scholarships are also available.
