Government and Nonprofit Career Day


The IRC helped advise the Career Center on the organization of a Government and Nonprofit Career Day: Making a Living, Making a Difference. The event will run from 10:30-2pm on Saturday March 17th in the Sadler Center and feature panel discussions from alumni in many different career tracts including development, environment, and intelligence. In addition, on Tuesday March 6th various US intelligence agencies will be having a virtual career fair. Find out more from their flier and don’t forget to RSVP!

Developing World Gallery Submissions

 

Friday is the last day to submit your photos to the 5th annual Developing World Gallery! Submissions should be posted on this Facebook group through a public album or individual uploads strait to the event. The Muscarelle Museum of Art will have the best photos professionally printed and hung in the Sadler Center on exhibition for the month of April. They will then be sold at a silent auction to raise money for Charity: Water. Find out more about the service committee on the Service Page!

WMIDMUN Weekend

Say Cheese! Over 200 Pizzas were required to feed everyone!

The Club is busy this weekend with the 10th annual William & Mary Middle School Model United Nations Conference (WMIDMUN X). The Secretariat has an active twitter going this weekend @WMIDMUNX as does the club @WM_IRClub with plenty of photos! Over 600 middle schoolers from around the country are present for this extraordinary conference.

Spring Fellow: former Peace Corps Association President and CEO Chic Dambach

Chic Dambach

A former Peace Corps Volunteer, Chic Dambach led an informal peace delegation to settle a border war between Ethiopia and Eritrea before becoming the President and CEO of the Peace Corps Association. He now serves as the Chief of Staff for a Congressman and as the President and CEO of the Alliance for Peacebuilding. Chic recently published his memoirs,  Exhaust the Limits: The Life and Times of a Global Peacebuilder. He will be giving his address, entitled “From Peace Corps to Peacebuilding,” on March 13th at 7:00pm in the Sadler Center Commonwealth Auditorium [Facebook Event Link].
